The US elections have helped (astonishingly so) in exposing the systemic dysfunction in the corporate media establishment. There is a great awakening happening. The sudden emergence and runaway success of many alternative media companies, often funded by donations and driven by volunteers, are testament to this phenomenon. These are historic times, the citizenry are effectively taking the media into their own hands.
