(Staff Writer, January 24th, 2017)A new U.S. president was sworn into office last week. The next day, millions of people took to the streets in dozens of cities around the world to demand justice and equality. The fight for civil liberties is on. We are ready.Although Edward Snowden did not receive a presidential pardon, the fight is far from over — and we’re not going anywhere. The community that formed to protect this whistleblower exceeded all of our expectations in its passionate defense of the right to speak truth to power. We can’t say what the coming years might bring for Ed, or for civil liberties more broadly. But we won’t stop fighting for either, and we’ll need you with us.
