The following link is a summary and reflection on the conference I attended at Shasta on the last weekend of August, 2017. The editor of the website Stillness in the Storm produced a set of notes here.

I wish to give you a personal take and history of my involvement and research on all these topics.

Introduction

I have always been interested in politics and what I intuit as “the machinations behind the scenes.” After all, I am a veteran from U.C. Berkeley in its Civil Rights, Free Speech Movement, and anti-Vietnam war days. I always participated intellectually, and quite often physically (“put your body on the line” and all that) to promote what I thought would be a better world. Later traveling to India and meeting my great teacher, whom I called “Father,” gave me a strong vision of what that better world would look like…
