Clashes erupted with the police as local residents protested new alcohol controls in Turin on Tuesday night. New measures prohibit the sale and consumption of alcohol outside of bars and restaurants in Turin’s nightlife district between 8pm and 6am. Riot police charged at protesters as demonstrators shouted ‘we want to drink’ and that ‘the whole world hates the police.’
