Police and opposition demonstrators clashed in the city of Caracas, on the day of the election of a Constituent Assembly which will have the power to draft a new constitution, Sunday. Protesters threw stones and police officers retaliated by firing rubber bullets. Officers were treated for their wounds by paramedics on the scene.
