YouTube and its parent company Google are being accused of stifling ‘alternative viewpoints.’
They’re cracking down on extremist content, but have also removed legitimate files from journalists and opposition groups. YouTube, however, still has faith that its machines know better. Over 75% of the videos removed for violent extremism over the past month were taken down before receiving a single human flag.
