The cost of disasters to the Federal Government isn’t what actually gets to the people that are suffering through these crisis’. A lot of it is wasted in massive bureaucracy, corruption, fraud, and abuse. Prior to FEMA’s creation in 1979, we the People handled crisis’ just fine through charity and community. Love is the answer, not government.
