The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) landed a helicopter by the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, on Monday, following a bomb scare at the popular tourist destination.
No bomb has of yet been found and nobody has been injured. The timing of the alert, on the 16th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, may heighten security concerns.
