US quits UNESCO, accuses organization of ‘anti-Israel’ bias

The US is withdrawing from UNESCO – the UN’s educational, scientific and cultural organization. One of the main reasons is concern over UNESCO’s alleged anti-Israel bias, and the organization’s mounting arrears.
Six years ago, member states voted to accept the State of Palestine into UNESCO – a move that angered Israel and its US ally.
