‘Syria peace process looks good on paper but will be very complicated’ – political analyst

The Syrian Army in co-operation with Russian military has liberated a village on the west side of the Euphrates River, pushing ISIS further towards the Iraqi border.
The leaders of Russia, Iran and Turkey have taken the initiative to bring the remaining parties in the conflict to the negotiating table.
Analyst and politics professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi told RT the idea of a ‘Syrian national congress’ would be a positive move but that questions remain over how it would function.
