Iraqi forces launched an operation against Islamic State militants in Salahaddin governorate on Saturday. Handout video from the Iraqi interior ministry showed armoured vehicles and men from the federal police and government-sanctioned militia combing the hills east of Tuz Khormato. The forces were searching for militants who have in recent weeks staged several deadly attacks on the Kirkuk-Baghdad road.
