Members of the far-right Generation Identity movement constructed a fence on the French-Italian border near Col d’Echelle on Saturday, in a bid to block migrants from reaching France. The new ‘border’ was built by Generation Identity members hailing from France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Austria and Great Britain. Hundreds of Generation Identity members supported by two helicopters patrolled the area until nightfall.
