Russ Martins life changed forever 10 years ago when he asked for help for his wife who was suffering from depression and mental health issues. His local authority immediately attempted to remove his then seven year old boy from the home, citing his wife’s health problems as the reason, even though she had never harmed the boy.
The family court sided with Russ and his wife, but the local authority persisted. In 2010, Russ’s wife attempted to kill herself and their son. She was sent to a psychiatric facility and the boy was taken into care and not left to live with Russ, his dad. Incredibly, Russ believes that the actions of the local authority drove his wife to the brink and led to the murder/suicide attempt. He makes a compelling case for this. Russ tells Richie what happened to his son and now ex-wife. This is a must listen.
