Legendary jazz saxophonist Gilad Atzmon has been told by Islington Town Hall that he is excluded from playing with The Blockheads at Islington Assembly this Friday. Why? One Jewish gentleman contacted the council to confirm that Gilad would be on stage. The gentleman said that he wouldn’t attend if Gilad was on sax, as he was offended by Gilad’s points of view. The council excluded Gilad. It’s now with the lawyers. don’t miss this.
Tha academic, author and broadcaster Kevin Barrett is on. Kevin discusses the Twitter storm that blew up when civil rights legend Alice Walker told the NY Times that she’d read a book by David Icke. How dare she?!? There have been calls for her publisher to dump her and for colleges to cancel her appearances. Kevin discusses this, censorship in general, narcissism and humanity’s blindness to the fact that we are infinite beings and that our time here is a prelude to something greater. Kevin lays out how this lack of understanding of who we really are, is affecting people’s behaviour now. Brilliant stuff.
