The US state of Alabama has launched a probe into an alleged meddling campaign during a 2017 senate election, which was earlier blamed on Russia. It turns out that a pro-Democratic billionaire funded a US group that created more than a thousand fake Russian bots on social media allegedly to discredit a republican rival.
