Shocking scenes have been captured on video revealing the massive destruction caused by the floodwaters in Chongqing and Wuhan.
Residents living near the Yangtze river have experience the worst flooding in 80 years. Three-story homes can be seen being washed away, sections of the railways have been destroyed, and massive trees have been uprooted by the flood.
State-run media have downplayed the extent of the damages caused by the flood and local authorities have warned netizens not to post videos of the destruction online.
