The Australian government announced a further $1.35 billion (Australian dollars) in funding to boost cyber security, and created over 500 new jobs at the Australian Signals Directorate. This is the largest single investment in cyber security in Australia’s history.

Australia has been constantly receiving threats from the Chinese Communist Party after establishing a team to investigate the CCP virus.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison publicly warned of a state-sponsored cyber-attack on Australia that involved a wide range of industries and levels of government. In addition, the United States and Europe have also been attacked in recent months by hackers believed to be from the CCP.
