A holiday catamaran burst into flames on the Arousa estuary in Galicia this Tuesday, injuring 38 out of 52 passengers onboard .

Twenty-six bodies were found on Argyros Coast in Mati on Tuesday. People in Bristol in south west England are divided over a plan to add a plaque to a statue that commemorates a 17th century merchant involved in the slave trade. Edward Colston is a prominent figure in the city’s history for his philanthropy. However, much of his wealth was acquired through the Royal African Company which was involved in the slave trade. Residents fled their homes Monday as a swift-moving fire blazed through a mountainous pine forest west of Athens and churned out smoke that turned the sky orange over the Greek capital. The fire department said 80 firefighters with 40 vehicles were on the scene near the seaside settlement of Kineta, about 50km (30 miles) from Athens between the capital and Corinth, while 7 water-dropping planes & 4 helicopters were helping from the air.
