No Proof: Russia denies claims it swapped positive samples with negative ones

Russia’s Investigative Committee has rejected claims of a state-sponsored doping programme at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
It said that the World Anti-Doping Agency had provided no proof of the allegations, which were made in a report by Canadian lawyer Richard McLaren.

Pile up in India: Moment several cars collide due to thick smog

At least 13 vehicles were involved in a multiple-vehicle collision on the Yamuna Expressway due to thick smog in Greater Noida, some 30 km from New Delhi. Six people were reportedly injured in the pile-up.

Dense fog has been surrounding Delhi and its outskirts since Tuesday morning causing several car accidents. The Indian Medical Association has declared a public health emergency in Delhi and all primary schools have been closed as of Tuesday morning.

US President Donald Trump delivered a warning to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and continued his tough rhetoric on the North Korean missile crisis.
He cautioned the DPRK by saying ‘Do not underestimate us, do not try us,’ referring to both the West and his administration which he said was ‘very different’ to past US governments.
The American leader is in South Korea for two days as part of his trip to Asia, having already spent time in Japan. He will also visit China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Finding guilty: UN-backed OPCW blames Damascus for Idlib chemical attack in April

Syrian forces begin advance towards Iraqi border

‘Extremists’ arrested over foiled arson plot in Moscow

Footage showing police arresting members of a banned extremist group that allegedly planned to attack police and set fire to government buildings was released on Tuesday.

Members of the radical movement Artpodgotovka were detained by Moscow police on November 3.

Police discovered weapons and homemade explosive devices during the raids which resulted in 302 people being detained for public order offenses and participating in an unauthorized rally.

The leader of group Vyacheslav Maltsev called on his supporters to participate in an unsanctioned rally on November 5th.

The group was categorised as a right-wing extremist organization and banned by a court on October 26.

Shamshad rescue: Security forces storm TV station attacked by 3 gunmen in Kabul

Footage shows Afghan security forces blowing a hole in the wall surrounding the Shamshad TV station in Kabul, which was stormed by armed men, following reports of an explosion and gunfire in the area.

According to police, three people, including a suicide bomber, attacked the TV station. It was unclear whether any of the station’s staff were killed or injured.
