Fierce clashes broke out between UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) troops and armed militants in the in the Qara Polly area off the country’s coast, 60 kilometres (37 miles) east of Tripoli, Monday. Over the past few days, forces allied, pro and anti GNA forces exchanged gun shots in a bid to score gains in the capital Tripoli.
