In May of 2010, Judge Salcido became the first sitting whistleblower judge in the US after discovering a chronic pattern of placing politics over citizen safety.

Her non-profit organization, JAWS, serves as a clearinghouse of examples of chronic problems in America’s court system. The group promotes easy remedies to fix what they describe as “the court crisis” and among other things, they aim to expose what they contend is “bias against protective parents in the Family Courts.”
