Spanish police say the suspects in the country’s deadliest terrorist atrocity in over a decade were planning an even bigger attack.
On Thursday night, a van was driven into crowds in the popular tourist area of Las Ramblas in Barcelona, killing 13 people.
Then, hours later, a car crashed into a group of people in the resort town of Cambrils, leaving one dead. Islamic State has claimed responsibility.
