US President Donald Trump’s chief strategist, Steve Bannon, is leaving the White House after only sixth months in the post. Even before Trump took office, Bannon was seen as a key figure in his team. A White House statement explained the decision for Bannon’s departure as a mutual. He will now return to the post of executive chairman at Breitbart News.
