This is really sick! To use a line of defense that a child consented to the abuse, therefore we aren’t responsible for the damage is the most unbelievable thing I think I’ve ever heard…. and to hear it coming from the Catholic Church and local officials? Well… one shouldn’t be so surprised. I think this is a bigger problem than anyone imagines and the damage done is far worse that people can conceive. Abuse is abuse… period… there’s no consenting to abuse….
