The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has reportedly gained control of Deir ez-Zor’s key Industrial District following heavy clashes with Islamic State. The op was backed by the 4th Armored Division and Tiger Forces (also known as Qawat Al-Nimr). Pro-government fighters can be seen moving through the district firing automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades.
