Six Tu-22M3 strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted strikes from an undisclosed airfield against so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) infrastructure in the city of Abu Kemal, in Deir Ezzor province, on Thursday. The airstrike was aimed at militant strongholds, command points, and warehouses with ammunition and weapons.
