Footage exists which captured the collapse of a nine-story building in Izhevsk on Thursday. At least three people were killed; two more were reportedly taken to hospital and several remain trapped under the debris.
An investigation is underway, with a gas explosion seen as the most likely cause.
A total of 411 emergency service workers and 111 pieces of equipment are involved in the response, many of them from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
