Bob Dole is a hero of World War 2 and the spirit of a generation of Americans who are almost all gone. Say what you want about his politics. However, this is a man that on April 14, 1944 in Northern Italy took a direct hit from shell debris. He was in a body cast for about 18 to 24 months. No one thought he would live let alone have the career he had. I pay tribute to his whole generation. If it wasn’t for them we would have none of our freedoms today. God bless the greatest generation!!!
