A Las Vegas police officer recently indicted on child sexual assault charges had an hours-long standoff with fellow police officers before he was taken into custody on Thursday.
Bret Theil, 38, was indicted on Wednesday for six counts of sexual assault of a child under 14 and six counts of first-degree kidnapping, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. After the charges were filed, a warrant was put out for Theil’s arrest.
