It’s exactly four years since Ukraine’s President Yanukovich was overthrown as a result of a popular uprising that began in Kiev in November 2013. The protests, which initially were peaceful, began in response to endemic corruption, and the government’s decision to abandon an economic deal with the EU, but quickly spiraled out of control.
