Katy Perry was performing in Nashville when her Saturn stage prop got stuck. It eventually drifted downward towards the crowd which forced her to jump off it.

The media is claiming that it was going to “crush the crowd” if she didn’t jump off it which adds to the mystique and builds her up as a hero of sorts. Although I’m sure that was a smart move, I wonder if it (and the entire situation) wasn’t staged for publicity.
