5/05/2018 — Kilauea Lava Lake draining now in addition to Pu’u O’o crater collapse

It would appear the greater lava lake at Kilauea volcano is now draining in addition to the collapse of Pu’u O’o crater 11.5 miles East.

The current draining is occurring on May 5, 2018 into May 6, 2018.

View the most current webcam images of the draining event here… this magma / lava will be in addition to the current collapse of Pu’u O’o a few days ago.

Just like the other volcanic crater to the East (Pu’u O’o) , the contents of the greater volcano (Kilauea) are now draining.

A similar event occurred on March 5/6, 2011 in the days prior to the Japan M9.0 megaquake. See the 2011 draining event here:
