Samara Arena is one of the mist distinctive World Cup venues due to its unusual architectural style and “cosmic” theme, in keeping with the region’s history as a key aerospace center.
The arena’s roof will be fully retractable, meaning fans and players will be sheltered whatever the weather.
During the World Cup, the venue will host group stage matches, one Round of 16 game and one quarter-final. After the finals, it will become home to local club team Krylya Sovetov.
