Onega petroglyphs are rock engravings on the east coast of Lake Onega in northwest Russia. According to researchers, the thousands of petroglyphs date back to about 5,000-6,000 BC. Experts have identified about 1,200 petroglyphs spread over an area of 20 km, including several incisions, such as Besov Nos, which is characterized by the mysterious ‘petroglyph of the Demon’.
