They helped propel humankind’s dream of space exploration to new heights, but the iconic launch towers at Cape Canaveral in the US have come down to earth with a bump. Over the span of more than 50 years, the towers launched some of NASA’s most important missions to the moon and Mars, but the historic complex has now been demolished.
