Not sure if this has any significance at all, but today, for the first time ever as far as I know, I saw a Canadian Infantry platoon setting up in full combat gear with guns drawn next to a strategic river bridge in a small rural town in Canada. Looks like they are setting up tents too, ready for an extended stay. Straightened up my eyeballs, for sure! Coincidence? I will follow up over the next days if I can. I will have to cross that bridge to exchange (double-entendre intended).

I am purposefully not providing detail in case they are doing what we want them to do. Could be a practice but this is beyond any practice that I have seen before, especially with guns drawn. This level of military activity does not happen in rural Canada. Part of me wants this to turn out to be nothing at all, and another part of me wants this to be a cabal kill-shot (uh, I mean check-mate). Can’t wait until I can get back there tomorrow or the day after to check on the situation!
