At least 24 people were detained as police attempted to evict some 200 migrants from the Benito Juarez sports complex in Tijuana in the early hours of Thursday. The migrants were moved to a temporary shelter some 20km away as they await the documentation required for them to enter the United States. The official reason for the eviction is not yet known, however, locals have complained about issues in the area regarding the camp.
