2018 was deadliest year for Afghan civilians in a decade – UN

A new UN report says that 2018 was the deadliest year in a decade for civilians in Afghanistan. Some 4,000 were killed. The report says increased terrorist activity, as well as Afghan and US military operations, are to blame for the spike in civilian fatalities.
