Fang Bin was arrested soon after he released this video but got released maybe within a day. He said he felt the police’s attitude toward him suddenly change at some stage. He guessed it was because his video had been widely circulated.

He fears that something will happen again, so he quickly released this video.
“I have been saying that my safety relies on everyone. It’s useless to be fearful. It’s useless to beg them. The more you fear, the more they do things this way. The only way out is that everyone stands up. That’s why I say we should have a ‘Help Ourselves’ movement. Maybe we should add: ‘Everyone Helps Everyone’ movement.

Fang Bin was arrested on February 10th, 2020. There is no official statement detailing Fang Bin’s situation since then.
