Hours later, Hubei authorities retracted the announcement. But people outside Hubei took this to mean the dangers of the fast-spreading coronavirus have eased. Some rushed to leave their homes. In this video, thousands of Shenyang residents lined up in front of a local restaurant called “The Yangs’ Deli,” acclaimed as the best deli cafe in Shenyang. Many did not wear a facial mask to protect themselves.
