Over the past several decades, how has US policy towards China been mistaken and shortsighted?

In this episode, we sit down with Dr. William Stanton, who served for 34 years as U.S. diplomat, including two assignments at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. His final posting was as Director of the American Institute in Taiwan, the equivalent role to Ambassador. Now he is Vice President of the National Yang-Ming University of Taiwan.
