On June 22, a Japanese media company reported that a member of the CCP’s Standing Committee, revealed that all elected candidates are required to support the imposed Hong Kong National Security Law, or else their candidacy may be disqualified.

Members of Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan criticized the CCP for violating and changing their agreements with the people of Hong Kong.

The pan-democrats, seeing that the CCP would disqualify more candidates, announced that they would first hold a preliminary election on July 11 and 12 to demonstrate to the international community that they would not surrender to the CCP’s totalitarian power.
