While mainland China is still suffering from the CCP virus and the African swine flu, a suspected case of bubonic plague was reported in Bayannur city, Inner Mongolia on July 5. According to residents, the local authorities do not have any measures to control the plague.
The local government previously reported that the bubonic plague has the risk of being spread via human-to-human transmission.
Starting on July 5, Bayannur entered a “level 3” alert for plague prevention and will continue until the end of 2020.
The Epoch Times obtained internal government documents from Inner Mongolia, dated March and April of this year. One document revealed that “since the first outbreak on March 15, 21 sites in four leagues (a local jurisdiction) or municipalities in the region have reported an outbreak of the plague” among the local rodent populations. There are 12 leagues and municipalities in Inner Mongolia, meaning a third have reported an outbreak.
The plague was known as the “Black Death” in Europe and killed more than 50 million people in Europe in the 14th century.
