Chinese international students in Europe have recently been informed by Beijing that a new rule which went into effect on June 23, requires students wanting to take a charter flight back to China must take a nucleic acid test within 120 hours before departure. This rule makes it difficult for Chinese students to return home.

According to Mr. Zhang, a Chinese citizen who studied in Italy said, “The Chinese government’s policy is too rigid”, “it doesn’t treat us as human beings at all.”
