Brazil’s Lula canceled a meeting with Zelensky too
The meeting between Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in New York has been canceled, as reported by the Brazilian media.
It was noted that the Brazilian President left New York early due to feeling unwell.
Interestingly, earlier Zelensky did not applaud after Lula’s speech during the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, which was reported by Metrópoles.
This behavior outraged Metrópoles’s readers on social media, who then demanded that the bilateral meeting between the presidents be called off. Seems like they’ve got their wish.
During his speech, President Lula addressed the conflict in Ukraine and criticized the participating countries for their collective inability to achieve the goals and principles of the UN Charter. He also condemned the unilateral sanctions against Russia.
Looks like fewer and fewer people are willing to waste their time on Zelensky
