By the end of Friday – the last day of the fiscal year – Illinois legislators failed to enact a budget, and while negotiations continued amid some glimmers of hope and lawmakers planned to meet over the weekend, the failure marked a continuation of the historic impasse that’s left Illinois without a full-year budget since mid-2015, and which, recall, S&P warned one month ago will likely result in a humiliating and unprecedented downgrade of the 5th most populous US state to junk status.

View on YouTube High Potential for Collapse: New Study Shows Two Radioactive Hanford Tunnels Are Not Stable
Engineering studies made public Friday reveal serious structural problems with two tunnels at the Hanford Site where highly radioactive materials are stored.
The reports were prepared following the May 9 discovery of a collapsed section of the roof of one of the tunnels. The U.S. Department of Energy, the owner and operator at Hanford, said no workers were exposed to radiation in that incident, which prompted evacuations and lock-downs across the site.
The two studies released Friday evaluated the structural integrity of two tunnels located near the Hanford PUREX plant — a decommissioned facility where plutonium was processed when Hanford was an active part of the U.S. nuclear weapons program. Both tunnels were built more than 50 years ago and currently hold abandoned railroad cars and equipment that is heavily radioactive.
KING 5 reported in May that concerns about the tunnels’ condition had been voiced for decades by scientists and engineers working at Hanford. The two new reports declare that both tunnels are at risk of collapse and “do not meet current structural codes and standards.”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and the Democrat-led Legislature are set to return to work to try to resolve the state’s first government shutdown since 2006 and the first under Christie.
The Republican governor and the Democrat-led Legislature failed to reach an agreement on a new budget by the deadline at midnight Friday.
Christie ordered nonessential services, including state parks and the motor vehicle commission, to close beginning Saturday. He and lawmakers are in a stalemate over whether to include legislation affecting the state’s largest health insurer into the state budget.

UMich consumer sentiment is in decline as more and more people do not see the economy improving. Illinois, Connecticut and 14 other states are all facing the same problem, not enough funds and big bills, this will not end well. The EU banking system is worse than we originally thought and what the EU wants us to believe. According the BIS Trump’s tariff system will bring down the economy, the corporate media is now playing this up.
