A trade conflict is brewing between the U.S. and Germany, Dr. Jim Willie says. “The United States is now a fascist nation.” Fascists cut across party lines and make up 75 percent of the government, Willie says. He says fascists have a tendency to alienate and defraud their allies, and the U.S. is no different. The United States is imposing sanctions on German companies working on a pipeline between Germany and Russia. Willie says these actions have crossed the line for Germany and a trade conflict is ahead. Germany will move East, he forecasts. This will further the United States’s isolation and the destruction of the U.S. dollar.

Geopolitical tensions could turn to the worse sooner than later, causing gold and silver to spike, says Roy Friedman, president of US Mint AP Manfra, Tordella & Brookes.
The last couple weeks have seen precious metal prices tumble. Physical metal buying and selling has quieted down, Friedman says.

Michael Pento forecasts a stock market crash and beginning of a recession by the end of the year or early next year. The inversion of the yield curve (when short-term interest rates yield more than longer-term rates) has correctly predicted the last seven recessions going back to the late 1960’s. In the past year, revelations such as the Deutsche Bank lawsuit made the truth of gold and silver price manipulation practically undeniable. But the mainstream remains relatively silent on the topic. If gold and silver were not manipulated, they could be moving higher as dramatically as cryptocurrencies, Powell says.
Gold and silver are cooling off after a month-long rally triggered by geopolitical termoil, says Chris Powell of GATA. But in the long-run, precious metal prices will be determined by central bank intervention or the lack of it, he believes. Western central banks continue to manipulate the price of gold, he says, in order to prevent it from being used as a world reserve currency. “We do not have free markets anymore,” he continues, “essentially it’s a totalitarian scheme.”
