The year is coming to an end. Thank to you, the audience, SouthFront was able to produce an extensive series of exclusive content pieces, including documentaries and analyses on various issues, in 2017. Together we overcame multiple challenges; attempts to discredit and to censor the project, the hate and the lie in particular.
SouthFront feels your support and is not going to stop with what has already been done. In December, our team started working on the following exclusive analyses:
1. An analysis of Israel’s military capabilities in light of the escalating situation in the Middle East and the growing chances of a military conflict over Lebanon or Palestine.
2. A complex analysis of the history, influence, military operations and capabilities of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).
3. A complex analysis of the most important events, which took place in 2017. This analysis will provide a look at separate regions and conflicts as well as key actors of the international relations. It will allow you to get a better understanding of the current situation and provide a forecast of the expected developments in 2018.
4. A documentary dedicated to the political developments expected in Russia in the first half of 2018. It will provide a look at the results of Putin’s presidency over the last years, the Russian foreign and internal policies, their weak and strong sides, the current political and social situation as well as forecast of challenges and risks, which Russia will face in the nearest future.
There will also be a little surprise, which you will find on SouthFront’s YouTube channel on December 31, 2017.
Unfortunately, SouthFront expects intrinsic problems with the collecting the project’s budget in this pre-New Year, pre-Christmas month. SouthFront is confident of your support. An analytical or media project can be independent only if it’s funded by the audience, the people.
So far, the project has collected less than a half of the minimal budget of 5,000 USD.

SouthFront has started working on two new exclusive in-depth documentaries:
1) “Face of Terror: Jabhat al-Nusra” – a documentary on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) – its history, military capabilities, structure, funding, allegiances and role in the Syrian war.
2) “Putin’s Russia” – a documentary on the results of Putin’s presidency over the last years. It will provide a look at the Russian foreign and internal policies, their weak and strong sides, the current political and social situation in the country as well as forecast of challenges and risks, which Russia will face in 2018.
Thanks to the audience’s help, SouthFront is going to release the documentary on Jabhat al-Nusra in the first half of January. The documentary on Russia will likely be ready in late January or early February.
