Most historians agree human civilization developed sometime around 10 to 12,000 years ago. Most ancient monuments and settlements fall neatly into that age period. But there are a number of findings that challenge this accepted view of human history. The latest of them comes from Israel, but one researcher believes it could be part of a much bigger underground complex spanning thousands of miles.

The site in question can be found in the Hurvat Burgin ruins in Adullam Grove Nature Reserve, located in central Israel. Many believe these ruins are a testament to human presence, activity and craftsmanship in a time where mainstream science tells us we barely knew fire.

Dr. Alexander Koltypin specialized as a geologist and is now head of the Natural Science Research Center at Moscow’s International Independent University of Ecology and Politology. His credentials are high, his experience vast. So when he says that humanity might have a much older, richer history, we should lend him our ears.

After analyzing hundreds of ancient settlements and archaeological sites all around the Mediterranean, Turkey and the Middle East, Dr Koltypin concluded that these apparent disconnected sites share a number of striking similarities. This has made him suspect the ancient sites were once connected and part of a bigger civilization.

However, everything changed when last year scientists finally found concrete evidence indicating the existence of a giant planet capable of generating orbital anomalies, detected on planets such as Neptune and Uranus. Astronomers’ pursuit in finding exoplanets (new planets orbiting other stars) is realized with various methods. One method is direct imaging, which has proved to be successful so far, being effective especially for planets on wide orbits around young stars, because the light reflected from the planet is not eclipsed by light reflected from the host star, making it easier to spot the needle in the haystack.

The captured image confirms the efficiency of this technique, showing a T-Tauri star named CVSO 30, situated about 1200 light-years away from Earth, northwest of Orions Belt, in the 25 Orionis cluster.

CSVO 30 is believed to host one exoplanet called CVSO 30b, as of its discovery in 2012, by the means of transit photometry, a detection method which seeks the light from a star visibly dipping plummeting as a planet heads in front of it.

For the moment, astronomers observe the system with a number of telescopes, combining every piece of information acquired with ESO’s VLT (Very Large Telescope) in Chile, with the data collected from the W.M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii, and finally with data gathered from the Calar Alto Observatory facilities in Spain.

Scientists who use drones to study the Nazca desert in the south of Peru have found more than 50 new gigantic drawings engraved on the ground, as reported by National Geographic, which published the video of these new geoglyphs. The designs were created more than a millennium ago by representatives of the Nazca culture and are believed to have ritual purposes. However, many of the recently found drawings could also belong to cultures earlier than those of Nazca, known as Paracas and Topará, dating back to 500 BC.

The space agency announced the project on March 30. It’s in its early stages, but the idea is to replace modern rovers — which are slow, bulky and very expensive — with swarms of sensor-studded, fast-moving micro-bots that can cover much more ground at a relatively low cost.

Literally called Marsbees, the little bots are “flapping wing flyers of a bumblebee size with cicada-sized wings,” NASA officials wrote.

As Live Science has previously reported, the largest species of bumblebee grows to be up to 1.6 inches (4 centimeters) long, but the American bumblebee is about a quarter of that size. Cicada wings, according to a range of formal scientific descriptions, can vary from 1.2 inches (3 centimeters) to more than double that length, depending on the species.

O’Grady who became famous playing drag queen Lily Savage, spoke out about seeing ‘strange lights’ over his home in the village of Adlington in Kent.
