During the Cultural Revolution, the CCP often quoted a slogan by Karl Marx: “The proletariat can liberate itself only by liberating all of humanity.”

The CCP preaches the world revolution. In the 1960s,
the former Soviet Union was going through a period of contraction and was forced to promote the cut back at the external revolution. The goal became to peacefully coexist with Western capitalist countries and provide less support to Third World revolutionary movements.

The CCP called this policy “revisionism.” In the early 1960s,
CCP Ambassador to the Soviet Union Wang Jiaxiang made a similar proposal but was criticized by Mao as being too friendly to the imperialists, revisionists, and reactionaries,
and not supportive enough of the world revolutionary movement. Therefore, in addition to exporting revolution to Asia, Mao also competed with the Soviet Union in Africa and Latin America.

In August 1965, CCP Minister of National Defense Lin Biao claimed in his article “Long Live the Victory of the People’s War!” that high tide in the world revolution was imminent. According to Mao’s theory of “encircling the cities from rural areas” (which is how the CCP seized power in China), the article compares North America and Western Europe to cities and thinks Asia, Africa, and Latin America as rural areas. Therefore, exporting revolution to Asia, Africa, and Latin America became an important political and ideological task for the CCP.

The city of Enshi in Hubei province, suffered severe waterlogging last week. Water plants were damaged by landslides and the city has been out of water for four days. On July 23, a fecal vacuum truck delivering water sparked discussions. Local residents said that they did not dare to drink the water sent by the rescue vehicles. They bought bottled water or found water sources by themselves. Sometimes rural volunteers also brought them mountain spring water.

In eastern China’s Anhui Province, many places were purposely flooded to divert water from the Yangtze River. The logic behind the water diversion is that, even the biggest city of Anhui, the capital city Hefei, is less developed than Wuhan, Nanjing, and Shanghai, the three metropolitan cities along Yangtze River.

Chinese state media claimed that Anhui residents willingly sacrificed themselves to make a contribution to the nation, and praised their altruism. While China’s internet trolls supported and magnified this “positive energy” propaganda, flood victims—including a local TV anchor—expressed their anger and despair in front of cameras.

By July 23, at least four towns in the province were completely inundated in water, 200,000 people lost their homes and farm land.

On the fourth anniversary of the South China Sea Arbitration between the Philippines and China, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo released a statement clearly indicating that “Beijing’s claims to offshore resources across most of the South China Sea are completely unlawful” and that “the PRC has no lawful territorial or maritime claim to (or derived from) James Shoal.”

U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper emphasized that the U.S. Navy will defend the freedom of international navigation and will not stand idly by as the Chinese Communist Party violates international law by creating provocations.

Dr. Tian Yuan, a Chinese commentator on current affairs, believes that the Trump administration has changed its previous neutral position on the issues of the South China Sea and put the United States in a position to enforce the international arbitration tribunal’s ruling.

In early July, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) began a 5-day military exercise in the disputed Paracel Islands. Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam have condemned the CCP for creating regional tensions. After that, the U.S. Navy sent two powerful aircraft carriers, the “USS Ronald” and “USS Nimitz” to conduct exercises in the South China Sea in celebration of the U.S. Independence Day and to support the free opening of the Indo-Pacific region.

Zheng Hao-Chang, a Chinese commentator on current affairs residing in the U.S., believes that although both sides are experiencing increasing military tensions, given the incompetence of the CCP, it’s unlikely that the CCP will confront the United States head-on.

The Chinese consulate in San Francisco is harboring a visiting Chinese researcher, who was previously interviewed by the FBI for concealing her ties to the Chinese military to obtain a visa, according to a court document filed on July 20.

On June 26, Tang Juan, a researcher at UC Davis was charged with visa fraud for making false statements on her visa application for a J-1 nonimmigrant visa, a type of visa issued to individuals participating in work-and-study-based exchange visitor programs.

On her visa application, she stated that she never served in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). However, an FBI search on published scientific papers showed that she had been employed as a researcher at the Air Force Military Medical University.

The FBI also found photos online of Tang in the uniform of the PLA’s civilian cadre. Civilian cadres are active military personnel without military rank.

On June 20, during her interview with the FBI at her residence in Davis, California, Tang denied serving in the Chinese military and said she had worn the military uniform because it was a requirement for attending FMMU. Her residence was also searched by the FBI on the same day.

Prosecutors also pointed out in the court document that Tang’s case is not an isolated case, but instead appears to be part of the PLA’S program that especially involves FMMU or associated institutions, that it is a program to send military scientists to the United States on false pretenses with false covers or false statements about their true employment. Aside from Tang, the July 20 court document also pointed to similar criminal cases against three other Chinese nationals: L.T., Wang Xin, and Song Chen.

The crowd tried multiple times to physically tear down the barrier which surrounds the federal courthouse located in downtown. The fence was placed there by agents.

For hours, rioters launched fireworks against the building in order to agitate and intimidate the agents inside. They also started fires outside of the courthouse building and used green laser pointers in an attempt to blind the agents.

After multiple warnings to leave the area, agents started to respond by releasing tear gas. Later, agents grouped outside of the courthouse and pushed the crowd of rioters even further back using tear gas. The crowd was p dispersed after the response from federal agents.

At 8:20 a.m. on July 20, in preparation for the upcoming flood peak, the Three Gorges Dam opened seven spillways to release water, despite the fact that water levels downstream are already at emergency levels.

According to the Department of Justice, a visiting Chinese researcher at Stanford University has been charged with visa fraud for failing to disclose her relationship with the Chinese military.

In December 2018, Song Chen, 38, entered the United States using a J-1 nonimmigrant visa. A J-1 visa is issued to individuals participating in work-and-study-based exchange visitor programs. In her visa application submitted in November 2018, she described herself as a neurologist who was coming to Stanford University to conduct research related to brain disease. She disclosed that she served in the Chinese military from September 2000 to June 2011, and that her current employer was a Beijing hospital named “Xi Diaoyutai.”

On July 17, an FBI agent, Joyce Blalock, stated in her affidavit filed in support of the federal investigation: “Open source research showed Song’s continued affiliation with the PLA Air Force (People’s Liberation Army) in a variety of capacities well past her stated termination date of June 2011.”

The FBI also recovered several deleted documents from her external hard drive seized by the agents. According to the affidavit, a deleted letter from Song was sent to the Chinese consulate in New York where she wrote that her employer “Xi Diaoyutai Hospital” was a false front.
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000. According to the affidavit, Song lives in the United States with her daughter.
The report estimated that since 2007, more than 2,500 Chinese military scientists and engineers have studied abroad, often by masking their military ties.

In recent years, Chinese people have repeatedly launched online petition campaigns calling the National Public Complaints and Proposals Administration to revisit all the complaints that have been made in the past. So far, thousands of people have signed the petition. However, petitioners indicated that their problems are still not addressed. A petitioner, Li Dao-Ying from Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, said that more than 3,000 Chinese people have joined the campaign until now.
Years ago, Li’s house was demolished without her permission. She received calls from her friends while she was out and was notified that there were many people at her house. When she hurried back home, her 5-story house was already demolished. She said, “I went to appeal to the government but was suppressed and threatened. They threatened to lock me up if I continued appealing. I really have no other way and then I saw this campaign on WeChat, so I signed my name with the hope of getting attention from the high level officials. There are so many Chinese citizens like me who can’t have their problems solved.”

Another petitioner, Xiao Cheng-Lin from Beibei District, Chongqing municipality, indicated that campaigns like this happen every year, but problems are never resolved. In 1995, Xiao Cheng-Lin refused to pay the additional agricultural tax that was forced upon him so he was smeared by the local government and his house was confiscated. He has been active in fighting for his basic rights ever since. He was illegally arrested, detained, tortured, and sentenced many times.

Xiao indicated that a disadvantaged group like the petitioners can only rely on foreign media to expose it and attract international attention.

While raising ‘concerns’ about parts of new security laws imposed on the city by China, Britain’s Supreme Court said it would continue to assess the position of serving UK judges on Hong Kong’s top court in discussion with the UK government.
Under a 1997 agreement, Britain has provided two serving law lords to sit on the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal.
It is a tradition that the presence of senior foreign judges from common law jurisdictions such as the UK to serve on the city’s highest court. It has helped burnish Hong Kong’s reputation as a strong and independent legal hub.
However, the recent imposition of harsh national security laws on the financial hub by China’s Communist Party leaders has raised grave concerns about the city’s legal independence, autonomy and freedoms.
Under the national security laws, China can exercise jurisdiction on some serious cases, and Hong Kong’s leader has the right to designate judges to hear national security cases.
Hong Kong’s number two official, chief secretary, Matthew Cheung, played down Lord Reed’s comments. He indicated that Hong Kong’s judicial independence is “something which we’ll preserve and we value greatly.”

Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, introduced “wartime” measures after Xinjiang reported new cases of the CCP virus in mid-July. Introduction
The communist cult’s spread across the world is powered by violence and deception. When communism is exported from a powerful country to a weaker one, violence is the quickest and most effective route. The failure of the free world to recognize the cultish character of communism leads it to take lightly the export of communist ideology.

1. Exporting Revolution to Asia
The Soviet Union’s export of revolution was the real reason the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was able to seize power. In 1919, the Soviet Union established the Third Communist International, which aimed to export revolution around the world. In April 1920, Grigori Voitinsky,
the representative of the Third Communist International, traveled to China. In May, an office was set up in Shanghai to make preparations for the formation of the CCP.

Over the next 30 years, the CCP was merely an organ of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and Mao Zedong received a monthly stipend of 160 to 170 yuan from the Russians. (The average monthly salary of a worker in Shanghai at that time was around 20 yuan.)

The CCP’s seizure of power was in part connected with
the Communist Party’s infiltration of the United States.
This is one of the reasons U.S. President Harry S. Truman
cut off support to Chiang Kai-shek while the Soviets continued to support the CCP.

Truman also made the decision to exit Asia after World War II. In 1948, the U.S. Army left South Korea, and on January 5, 1950, Truman announced that the United States would no longer interfere with affairs in Asia. This included the termination of military assistance to Chiang Kai-shek’s Taiwan, including in the case of a war between the PRC and the Republic of China.

A week later, U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson reiterated Truman’s policy and said that if war were to break out on the Korean Peninsula, the United States would not get involved. These anti-intervention policies provided an opportunity for the Communist Party to expand its influence in Asia.

When North Korea invaded the South, and the United Nations sent troops, the United States changed its policy.

The CCP went all out in trying to export revolution.
In addition to training guerrilla fighters in different countries, providing weapons, and sending troops to fight against legitimate governments, it also provided significant financial support for insurrections.

Chen Yun-Fei, a Chinese pro-democracy activist, has been forced to move around eight times since 2013. Back in 2013 when he was forced to relocate, they raided his house and he was beaten so badly that he spent six months in the hospital. His daily necessities and other items were taken and have not been returned. Last year in August, was the fourth time that he has been forced to relocate.

On June 15, 2020, Chen signed the contract with the landlord and paid the rent for one year. He moved in on July 9. On July 13, the landlord suddenly asked him to move out within two days without giving him a reason. In the afternoon of July 15, six unknown men broke into Chen’s apartment, eating, drinking, cursing, and playing mahjong, scaring his 86-year-old mother.

Chen indicated that he has been asking the police for help. He also called the Mayor about 17 or 18 times, but the problem is not resolved. Instead it’s been pushed around. The authorities have prevented him from expressing his views on the Internet and from showing concern for prisoners of conscience.

Chen graduated from Beijing Agricultural University and is a participant of the 1989 Tiananmen Square Protests and an activist of street movements of public events in China. In 2015, he was illegally sentenced to four years in prison for commemorating the students who died in the June Fourth Massacre. He was released last year.

Continuous heavy rain and dike failures flooded the entire Guzhen County of Anhui Province during the afternoon of July 19. By late evening, there were still more than 10,000 people trapped in flood water. Many climbed to rooftops waiting to be rescued.

A local government employee told Chinese media Caixin that Pihe River broke a dike and overflowed Guzhen County around 2 p.m. on July 19, due to two upstream reservoirs releasing excessive amounts of water into the river.

The Chinese-language Epoch Times called several local numbers but there was no signal until 5:30 p.m. The reporter learned that more than 10,000 people were trapped inside the water, and there were very few rescue staff or volunteers.

Residents condemned the authorities for discharging the reservoirs without informing the public. Trapped on rooftops without drinking water or food, many were in a dire situation.

According to State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus, the United States said it ordered the Chinese consulate in Houston to close. Ortagus said in a statement emailed to The Epoch Times: “The United States will not tolerate the PRC’s violations of our sovereignty and intimidation of our people, just as we have not tolerated the PRC’s unfair trade practices, theft of American jobs, and other egregious behavior. President Trump insists on fairness and reciprocity in U.S.-China relations.”

“We have directed the closure of PRC consulate general Houston, in order to protect American intellectual property and Americans’ private information.”

China called the closure “an unprecedented escalation” and said it would retaliate if the United States did not revoke the order.

A video sent to a local news station and posted on social media showed several open fire pits in the courtyard and what appear to be consulate staff.

Houston Fire Department Chief Samuel Pena told KTRK: “It appears to be open burning in a container within the courtyard of the Chinese consulate facility. It does not appear to be an unconfined fire but we have not been allowed access. We are standing by and monitoring.”

The closure of the consulate comes on the heels of an indictment of two Chinese nationals for a decade-long cyber espionage campaign. They were accused of stealing information on weapons designs, drug information, software source code, and personal data. The indictment is the latest in a vast, nationwide law enforcement campaign to counter the theft of U.S. intellectual property and other aspects of infiltration by the Chinese Communist Party.
